09 Sep Friends of the Monteverde Cloud Forest heralds new leadership
We are delighted to announce William Aspinall Murray as the new Chair of the Board of Directors and President of Friends of the Monteverde Cloud Forest!
William has a B.S. in Forestry and more than 30 years of experience in forest and natural resources management, his lifelong passion. A founding member of Friends of the Monteverde Cloud Forest, William is also a former managing director for the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve, and an active member of the Tropical Science Center for more than 20 years. He owns and manages the Arenal Observatory Lodge & Spa adjacent to Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica.
William has been a longtime supporter of our Environmental Education Program. “Our contribution to education helps students understand and internalize the impact of climate change on the region and how human actions affect the natural balance of ecosystems, which inspires them to reflect upon their social responsibility,” he said.
Let’s listen to William Aspinall tell us about his work with Friends of the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
